Lindsay Giedl

Lindsay Giedl is a Georgia based mover who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Georgia. She is the Head Administrator and Teacher for the Joffrey Ballet School Intensives -  under the direction of Colleen Barnes. Lindsay danced with The Modern Pin Ups Dance Company, as well as CADE:NCE - Contemporary African Dance Ensemble: New Conscious Explorations at The University of Georgia. In 2015, she created Counterpoint Dance Company in Athens where she served as Artistic Director, choreographing and assisting students to sharpen their dance skills as well as provided various performance experiences. Lindsay is also the Artistic Director of Linds&co. a post-modern and improvisation company. Lindsay can also be seen as a feature dancer for film and music video work. She has trained in many forms of dance such as ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip hop, African, and tap and is excited for a full year of teaching and performing!


Lindsay Giedl instructs the following:
  • Hip Hop (Ages 8+)
  • This is a high energy class that uses the latest trends in pop culture as well as a variety of hip-hop techniques and personal style. This class will encourage students to step out of their comfort zones while bringing their own artistry and personality to the movement.

  • Jazz (Ages 8+)
  • Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique through progressions across the floor, improvisation, performance tactics, as well as understanding complex rhythms and patterns through out the body. Students will be exposed to many different styles of Jazz such as Theatre, Commercial, Contemporary, and Social while simultaneously exploring underlying historical value.

  • Hip Hop Fitness
  • Upbeat energizing dance work out choreographed to hip hop music.  No dance experience required. Expect to dance, have fun, feel happy and free to move!

  • Contemporary Dance
  • Contemporary Dance Class focuses on free form, organic movements and motions; exploring the full range of motion and styles capable in the human body.  Appropriate for ages 8-Adult.

  • Open Ballet
  • This multi-level ballet class is designed for the beginning dancer as well as the more experienced and elderly.  The class will be tailored to individuals in the room. There is no dress code for Adults. Open to ages 8-Adult

  • Boy & Girls Club: Ballet
  • Appropriate for the beginning ballerina who has demonstrated basic knowledge of positions and terminology Appropriate for Ages 6-9.

  • Boy & Girls Club: Hip-Hop
  • This is a high energy class that uses the latest trends in pop culture as well as a variety of hip-hop techniques and personal style. This class will encourage students to step out of their comfort zones while bringing their own artistry and personality to the movement.
